TAKE IT SLOW

The clothes you’re wearing and the smokes you’re sharing are just what you’re trying not to be. You try to look odd but like peas in a pod, it looks all the same. Don’t you know it’s a shame? Uptown, all around, the voices heard without a sound are all saying, “We want change.” But when we’re together, we just talk about the weather and move another piece in the game. School costs a fortune and the food is smaller portions but you tell yourself it’s worth it in the end. Your future that’s made with your life as a grade might turn out the same. Don’t you know it’s a shame? But who knows, let it go. Life is fast so take it slow. It’s all going to be okay. Enjoy the sunny weather because we’re all in it together and everybody’s playing the game. Take it slow, you know. It’s all in the mind, you know.
